The Best Rose Gold + Mauve Eyeshadow Shades

These are the Rose Gold and Mauve eyeshadow shades that always deliver for me. I reach for them over-and-over again because they are the perfect shade, tone, and texture. This post goes into the satin finish and shimmer finishes.

I also want to share what makes each shadow stand out compared to the thousands of other eyeshadow shades I have tried. There are cream and powder options and prices from $6-$80.

I do recommend wearing each of these with an eye primer and finishing with a setting spray for longevity.

BEST ROSE GOLD + MAUVE EYESHADOWS

1 | Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette – shades Burnout + Liar + Buzz

The entire Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is stunning, this is probably my favorite eyeshadow palette that I own. The standout shades for me are Liar and Buzz for the satin finish shades.

Burnout is a great light rose gold shade with a soft satin finish.

Liar is a shade that I can quickly blend over my lids and go. It’s never too dark, but adds the right amount of dimension at the crease. Liar leans a bit more mauve-bronze.

Buzz leans more traditionally pink-rose gold and is really pretty. I make sure to wear it with more taupe and warm brown shadows so that it doesn’t go too pink with my complexion.

I love the Urban Decay eyeshadow formula. This is the longest-wearing formula for me and really stays in place and resists creasing.

These are powder formulas, with a mix of matte, satin, metallic, and glitter finishes.

2 | Nars Cosmetics Eyeshadow – shade Virgin Gorda

Virgin Gorda is such a beautiful, soft rose gold shade. This is the shade I think most people are thinking of when they describe rose gold.

It’s lovely and natural looking on the eyes and a beautiful balance of shades without being too pink or too gold. Nars Virgin Gorda an amazing rose gold shade.

The texture is very silky and smooth. I really love the Nars’s eye shadow formula.

3 | L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow – shade 892 Amber Rush

Amber Rush sounds like it’s going to be copper, but is actually an incredible rose gold shade. This is a smooth cream formula, with a metallic finish that really is eye-catching.

I have sensitive skin and do get a slight amount of irritation with this formula, so it’s not a daily wear product for me, but I do like to wear it occasionally because it’s such a pretty shade.

This is a cream formula, with a metallic finish.

4 | ColourPop Going Coconuts Palette – shade Coco Crush

Coco Crush is one of the prettiest eyeshadow shades I have ever seen. It’s the perfect neutral rose gold shade. Not too pink, it’s just right. It has an eye-catching metallic finish and the formula is gentle on my eyes.

To make an amazing shadow even better, the entire eyeshadow palette it’s part of retails for only $12 total. It’s a must-have palette of flattering neutral tones!

This is a powder formula, shade Coco Crush has a metallic finish.

5 | ColourPop Super Shock Shadow – shade Amaze

Amaze, from Colourpop was the first product I ever purchased from Colourpop and remains my favorite product from their entire line up! This is the perfect rose gold shade, with a glitter finish. Because of the glitter, I keep this one placed at the center of my eye and it truly gives any eye shadow look that extra pop.

This is a cream eyeshadow, with a glitter finish.

6 | Tom Ford Cream + Powder Eye Color – shade 03 Golden Peach

Tom Ford’s two layer eyeshadow is very unique. The bottom is a cream shadow that can be worn on it’s own, or with the glitter “topper” that comes in the upper portion of the container.

It’s looks super pretty on it’s own, but I especially love a little of the glitter placed right at the center of my eye, to catch the light and give eyes sparkle.

The Golden Peach shade is a unique peachy rosy shade that I love for the spring and summer. It’s a nice alternative to bronze if you want to go a bit lighter and warmer with your makeup.

7 | Chanel Illusion D’Ombre – shade 97 New Moon

I use Chanel’s New Moon as a “topper” shade in the center of my eye, to give my eye look dimension and sparkle. It’s such a unique mauve tone and really enhances any eye look. It can also be worn on it’s own, but does have glitter, which is why I prefer to keep it placed at the center of my eye only.

This is a very smooth cream formula, with glitter. It comes with it’s own brush for application, but I prefer to tap on onto my eyelid with my finger.

8 | Lorac Pro Palette NOIR – shade Stardust

The NOIR palette from Lorac was a last-minute holiday purchase for me. I really debated owning another eyeshadow palette, but from the moment this palette arrived, I knew I’d made the right decision.

It’s such a lovely mix of wearable, staple matte shades and some truly unique satin, metallic, and glitter shades. I think it’s also very reasonably priced for a full-size, 18 pan eyeshadow palette.

One of my favorites has been the shade Stardust. It’s a great cooler toned mauve with sheen. I wore this in this Honeylove video and love how it looked on my eyes.

These are powder formulas, with a mix of matte, satin, metallic, and glitter finishes. These shadows do crease, so I recommend a primer and/or setting spray to help keep them smooth.

9 | Viseart Paris Nude 12 Pan Palette – far left column, center shade

This Viseart shade has been such a stand out for me. The entire Paris Nude palette is beautiful, but this shade in the far left column, center row is the most beautiful combination of rode gold and taupe. Everytime I wear it I get asked what is on my eyes.

It’s a smooth, skin-flattering powder formula with a satin finish.

10 | MAC Cosmetics Eyeshadow – shade Sable

This is a gorgeous light plum-mauve shade that really makes eyes sparkle. It’s not too deep, but makes for a lovely smokey eye. It’s a great mauve shade that stays just warm enough and also doesn’t go too purple. It’s a real winner!

I love MAC’s refill pans. They are very affordable and you can pop them into an empty magnetic palette to make your own custom palette of shades that work for you. A makeup minimalist’s dream.

11 | ColourPop Eyeshadow – shade Snake Eyes

Snake Eyes is such a unique shade. It’s a blend of a soft taupe and mauve, with a satin finish that catches the eye. I used to use it a ton on models when I was working as a makeup artist. It caught the light in such a unique way and really drew you to their eyes.
