My Go-To Eyeshadow Shades

I really, really thought about my most loved eyeshadow shades for this post and these are my essential, most-worn-and-loved eyeshadow shades and palettes. These are all the most flattering tones I have found for my light skin tone and peach under tone.

When I was putting this together, I asked myself “what are not only your most loved shades right now, but products you’d repurchase the second they ran out?” These are the best of the best eye shadows that I have hit pan on and palettes that I will absolutely be repurchasing.

My Most Loved Eyeshadow Shades

1 | MAC Wedge

.05 oz | $8

I personally buy the refill pans of these MAC shadows and pop them into an empty magnetic z-palette. It saves me over $10 per shadow. I find MAC to have the best range of undertones to really flatter such a range of complexions.

Wedge is the perfect warm taupe transition shade for me. I use it daily, it’s truly a perfect tone for my eye crease area.

I do wish these MAC shadows had a silkier formula, sometimes they can feel and look a little dry, but the shade range just can not be beat. They are also very affordable and environmentally friendly when you purchase the refill pans.

2 | MAC Saddle

.05 oz | $8

I use this warm reddish brown shade on a smaller crease brush, directly in the fold of my upper eye lid to create more depth. It’s been a game changer for me! Really adds a pop to all my eyeshadow looks and makes my eyes sparkle.

3 | MAC Soft Brown

.05 oz | $8

On days that I want a softer look than I get with the Saddle shade, I reach for Soft Brown. Just like the shade Saddle, it’s great in the crease and very daytime friendly.

4 | Charlotte Tilbury Oyster Pearl

.24 oz | $34

One of my most reached for shades! This formula must be worn with an eye primer or MAC paint pot underneath for longevity, or else it disappears quickly. When I properly prep and set this shadow though, it lasts all day and is just so flattering.

It’s one of the best eye shadow shades I have ever found. I know it can seem pricey at first for a single shade, but the container contains a massive amount of product at .24 oz and I am still using the first pot I purchased, even with how often I use this shade!

5 | Colourpop Supershock Shadow in Amaze

.074 oz | $6

I love this glittery shade to add a little sheen on the center of my eye.

After I’m done my eyeshadow, I pick up the smallest amount of the Amaze shade on my ring finger and tap it directly into the center of my lid.

It really adds a nice pop to my eyeshadows and the cream formula locks in, so there is no glitter fall out on my cheeks.

6 | Urban Decay Naked 3

The mauve and rosy tones in this palette are so flattering. It’s the one palette that when I wear it, I consistently get asked what is on my eyes.

Urban Decay eyeshadow formulas are my absolute favorite: they are very flattering on my maturing skin (never dry or crepey looking) and they truly last all day without moving or creasing.

I love that this palette has a mix of matte and shimmer finishes.

7 | Ilia The Necessary Palette in Cool Nude

6 pans at .05 oz each | $38

A surprising favorite palette! I reach for this one daily.

I find every shade in this palette to be wearable either worn in combination or on their own. The formula is very smooth and flattering on the skin. I do wish it was slightly longer lasting on it’s own, but I have started setting it with my Skindinavia spray when I’m done my makeup and now it lasts until I take it off.

I use the middle row the most, the mauve as an all over color and the deep taupe as my daily shade to set my liner and smoke out my eye look. The Cool Nude palette was the palette I used on my wedding day, so it will forever have a special place in my heart!

The cranberry shade seems intimidating at first, but is absolutely stunning and wearable on the eyes!
