You’ve gotten your ZIIP Halo device, now what? This post goes into the details on what to expect when you first starting using the Halo, how often to use your device, and how to pick the treatments based on your skin’s needs. I hope this information will help you get your best results.
I have been using my ZIIP device since December 2018 and have a few other blog posts and videos explaining the science behind ZIIP, my review of the Halo device, and six years of my before and after results. I also post all the latest ZIIP sales in this post, ZIIP has generously given me a discount code for you to use, ZIIPMOLLY, (it’s their highest level discount code!) it works when used with this link.
The first time I used my original ZIIP device, I had no idea what to expect. Would I feel the electricity? Would it hurt? Would it vibrate the whole time on my face?
1: You will feel light electric currents (a “buzz”) when doing most of the treatments, but they are not painful.
2: Using the device does not hurt. If you feel do feel a little zap, add more gel.
3: The ZIIP Halo only vibrates when it’s time to move to the next spot on your face. I love this, because it makes the device very quiet to use. The vibration is subtle, but you also can’t miss it.
I like that the Halo is quiet enough that I can use it while I am working and editing without any distraction.
When you are just starting out using the ZIIP device, more is better. For the first six months, I did facial treatments four-to-six days a week, for a minimum of twenty minutes total. I really recommend using this amount to “jump start” your results.
Also, I find that it’s easier to stick with something new if done daily, instead of having to remember to use it twice a week.
Once you hit the six month mark, you can switch to doing treatments two to three times a week. I always like to do a treatment before a big event or while traveling.
This is where you really get to personalize things!
ZIIP really has a treatment for any results you want for your skin. This is one of the reasons I’ve used it so consistently for years. It’s a pricier up front purchase, but then you get unlimited at-home facials forever. It’s a great investment.
ZIIP offers 13 different treatments for:
If you don’t want to come up with a personalized treatment plan, ZIIP does offer preselected routines for 7, 14, and 30 days of treatments. These are great if you are looking for guidance. I do prefer to personalize however, so…
To get started with your plan, think of what you want to get out of using the ZIIP device. Look in the mirror and assess for the day, then scroll through the app and pick and choose as needed.
For example, the first five-ish years of using ZIIP, I really liked the treatments that lifted and de-puffed my face. I was retaining a lot of fluid and would wake up puffy and looking exhausted.

PLUMP + GLOW ROUTINE
After being diagnosed with sleep apnea (I was waking up 30 times per hour(!) every night) and pre-diabetes, I now sleep with a CPAP machine and take a GPL-1 medication. This has been life changing combination in all the best ways.
However, the mask does leave me with some creasing around my mouth from the pressure of the mask on my face all night. Combined with the weight loss in my face from the GPL-1 medication, I do have more fine lines around my mouth than I used to.
I’ve been using the “Plump” treatment every time I use my ZIIP. It’s my new favorite treatment!
