Boxycharm June Unboxing & “How To Unbrush Your Hair” Tutorial

OMG, IT’S SUMMER.  You Guys, it’s summer.

It’s summer.

I can’t believe how quickly this year has gone by.  With that being said, summer is truly one of my favorite seasons.  I love a warm summer night.

This month’s Boxycharm is Sea inspired.  “Sea La Vie” to be specific, which I might steal as my wedding theme someday if anyone will ever marry me.  Boxycharm boxes are $21 a month and include US shipping.  They contain 4-5 full or deluxe size items.  You can sign up {here.}

“Sea La Vie” included:

– Oscar Blandi Daily Silk Serum, retail $25, really feels like silk!

– Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask, retail $38.  I used this once so far and my skin did feel hydrated after.

– The Beauty Crop “Lighting Crew”, retail $16, smells like pineapple.  So yummy, I’ve been using it a lot!!

-Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush, retail $29, a standout product from this month’s box for me!  I’ve been using it with the Sonia Kashuk cream bronzer I bought from Target ($11) and it buffs it perfectly into my skin.  I’ve tried other brushes with this bronzer and this one gives me by far the best results.  I’m obsessed with it.

-ncLA Nail Laquer in IV, retail $16, super pretty shade!

Total value: $124, not including taxes/shipping.

I LOVE this kabuki brush to apply this cream bronzer (that I purchased separately!)

The bronzer applied with my finger on the left and with the brush on the right. So much lighter and more natural looking with the brush and I hadn't even blended yet!

I did a mini tutorial on “How To Unbrush Your Hair” using the serum.  I feel like its a good one for summer, because I like having a bit more of an undone look, but still want to brush my hair like an adult woman.  So this is the best of both worlds.

Step 1:  Brush hair.

Step 2: Add a drop of serum or oil to hands and rub between palms.

Step 3:  Start twisting small (1-2 inch) sections of hair at the roots all the way down to the ends.  Rub the ends of each strand with a bit of the serum from your palms to make the ends more “piecey.”  Make sure you start at the roots so your hair isn’t poofy at the top and piecey at the ends.

Step 4:  Let your hair sit in the sections for a few minutes while you do makeup or get dressed.

Step 5:  Shake your hair out with your hands and you are good to go!  * If you need a little more definition on the ends, you can add another tiny drop of serum now and just lightly twist it into the ends of your hair.
