Size | All full size gels are 2.7 oz. The starter Electric Complex that comes in your Halo Starter Set is 1.7 oz. The new mini sizes are 1 oz each.
Frequently Asked Question | Do you need to use a ZIIP gel for the Halo device to work? Answer: no, you can use any conductive gel. However, I do recommend the ZIIP gels for two reasons.
1: The ZIIP gels do not dry down. Other conductive gels that I have tried eventually dry down and get sticky, to the point the device no longer can glide over my skin. The ZIIP gels stay smooth for as long as your choose to do treatments.
I love that ZIIP gels are long lasting, because I don’t have to waste gel reapplying halfway through the treatments.
2: The ZIIP gels are the perfect consistency to work with the Halo device. For this reason, I stick with them to protect my device and make sure gel doesn’t transfer inside any of the ports or charging station.

Texture | Thinner
Best For | An affordable option for those wanting to stay within the ZIIP Beauty “family” for their gels.
Ingredient Highlights | The Electric Complex does not contain skincare actives, but does contain glycerin for a longer lasting gel that doesn’t dry down.
Personal Thoughts | This gel is a big on the thinner side for my preference, I like a thick gel. But it’s great to use when I only have time for the 4 minute routine and don’t want to use a pricier gel.
The Electric Complex contains the same base ingredients, so it mixes perfectly with the other gels, if you want to stretch a bottle of your pricier gel.
Overall, I’m really happy that they added a budget friendly option to their line-up, as the ZIIP Beauty gels really are the best when it comes to longevity on the skin during treatments.

2 | Crystal Gel

Best For | Someone looking for organic ingredients and a glow boost.
Ingredient Highlights | Glutathione
Personal Thoughts | The glow from the Crystal Gel is no joke! I notice a glass-skin like effect the day after a treatment.
I especially love doing the “Founder’s Favorite” treatment with the Crystal Gel, because both increase skin glow. I always do this combo the day before a big event because it guarantees a “good skin” day for me.
The Silver Gel is my personal preference because I need the hydration boost, but the Crystal Gel comes in a very, very, very close second as my favorite ZIIP gel. The glass-skin glow is amazing and addicting.

3 | Silver Gel

Texture | Thicker
Best For | Dry Skin, line smoothing vis skin plumping.
Ingredient Highlights | Hyaluronic acid from Japan, Cucumber and Aloe, Crushed Pearl
Personal Thoughts | The Silver Gel is my personal favorite out of all the ZIIP gels. I love and need the hydration boost. I love how the hyaluronic acid works with the micro current to really plump my skin.
Overnight, fine lines disappear. The Silver Gel + ZIIP Halo combination feels like magic.
If you have dry skin and fine lines, you might also like the Silver Gel. I also find the thicker texture very plush on my skin.

4 | Golden Gel
Price | $129.99
Texture | Thicker
Best For | Mature skin, collagen boost.
Ingredient Highlights | Bio-placenta with five growth factors, Hematite, Niacinamide, and 24-karat Gold
Personal Thoughts | The Golden Gel is a great gel for someone who is really looking to double up on collagen boosting with the combination of the growth factors in this formula, combined with ZIIP Halo’s collagen boost. It’s a nice thicker texture.
This particular gel causes me to breakout, so it’s one I skip. However, if you don’t have skin that is sensitive to a lot of ingredients, you might like to try the Golden Gel.
