Black Friday 2014 + HAPPY THANKSGIVING YA TURKEYS!

In a rare, serious moment for me, I’d like to say that I am very grateful for all of you in my life.  Amen.

What did everyone do to celebrate today?  I did my friend’s makeup and another friend’s hair then we went and ATE.  I love family and friend time.  And in case you were wondering, yes I’ve made everyone male + female talk about makeup and hair for 3 days straight – haha.

Honest question, does anyone brave the crowds for Black Friday or are you all more of Cyber Monday shoppers?  I’m a cyber shopper 1: because of my deep love of sweatpants and 2: my dislike of trying to find parking spots in L.A.

I’m wearing sweatpants right now.  Just FYI.  The love truly runs deep and when I have to put on real pants I always do an audible sigh.  So online shopping has become my thing.

I’m feeling like Black Friday and Cyber Monday have gone in 3 main directions: companies will either release exclusive colors or products (Colourpop Cosmetics), do a huge discount off the whole site (GAP – best underwear on earth, not trying to be a perv, just saying), or do stocking-stuffer mini gift sets that are a great deals (Sephora/Ulta).

Here are some favorite sales from this year that really stand out to me.  Any others I should know about?

I got my mom these jammies in a soft stretchy cotton so far and might pick up this tinted moisturizer for her too or this one because she loved it the last time I got her it.

– Sephora is apparently having some $10 deals.  These gift sets are a great way to try makeup before committing the Big Benjamins to a product.

– Ulta also is having some gift sets that look great and doing $6.99 liters of certain TIGI shampoos and conditioners.

– Nordstrom has this $10 brush set from Smashbox and a whole 40% off section.

– Shu Uemura is doing 25% off and free shipping over $50 now through Monday.  Their cream blushes are a must. have.  Especially in Orange Quartz, which is actually a super soft peach shade, and part of my “makeup for strawberry blondes” post.  Use code SHUJOY

–Tarte Cosmetics is doing 25% off sitewide including their limited edition holiday sets and free shipping on orders over $40.  Use code: FRIDAY
