If you’ve ever wanted to try an in-office professional skin laser treatment, but the cost held you back (me!), you’ll want to read this review. NIRA has created an at-home, personal laser skincare device that, with three months of regular use, gives you results equal to an in-office laser treatment.
In this post, I’ll go into my personal results, as well the the science behind the technology, and the pros and cons of the device.
The world of beauty technology has grown so advanced. I really love that high-end treatments like laser facials have now become more accessible.

There are two main differences between the NIRA Pro and Precision lasers.
The first difference is the size. NIRA Pro has a larger, rectangular opening. It’s meant to get the maximum amount of skin treated quickly. The Precision laser has a smaller, circular opening and is meant for use around the eyes.
The second difference is the buttons. On the larger Pro device, you press and hold the button to turn the device on. You press the button again to take the intensity of the treatment up. The intensity can be adjusted from one up to five. The intensity adjustments are the same on both devices.

With the larger Pro device, once you press the power button, the device works automatically by lifting and then placing it over the area you want to treat.
On the smaller Precision device, there are two buttons. One powers the device on and controls the intensity level and then a second button closer to the laser opening needs to be pressed and released each time you want the laser to activate.
For this reason, I find myself using the Pro device more, but the smaller Precision device is very nice to use around the eyes, especially if you have hooded or downturned eyes and are looking for a nice lid lift or lift at the outer corners.
Overall, I’ve been very impressed with both devices. I didn’t know what to expect, as I had never tried laser treatments before. The goal of laser is to smooth your skin texture, including smooth fines lines, and subtle lifts to the eyes and overall face.
You don’t need any gels and the treatment takes less than two minutes, so I think this would be a fabulous at-home device for someone with a very busy lifestyle.
My results have been impressive: the treatments seem to shrink my pores overnight. I wake up with a glowing, smooth skin texture.
I do notice a slight lift as well. It’s not as extreme as the muscle lift I get with microcurrent devices, but I do notice that the outside of my eyes have lifted up beautifully with regular use of the laser.
It does also smoothes out wrinkles and fine lines, but for me the biggest stand out result has been how it makes my pores seem to disappear. It’s like having the airbrush filter in real life.
I wake up the next day and see noticeably smoother skin. I especially love how my smaller acne scars shrink, so that contour and blush doesn’t end up in the enlarged pores and look like spots.
