Grey Smokey Eye Shadow Tutorial - Fair Skin + Redhead Friendly

This tutorial was a total PARTY TIME for me!

I was getting in a bit of a “natural look” makeup rut and needed to shake things up. I wanted to do a fun night-out look.

I ended up loving this makeup so much that I wore it out two nights in a row while I was in Vegas!

STEP 1

To make grey really flattering for redheads, use a wine or purple base and a grey shadow with purple undertones.

STEP 2

Using a cream shadow on your lid before a powder will intensify the color of the powder as well make it last much, much longer.

STEP 3

For a softer smokey eye, I only applied the cream shadow base on my lid. I did not bring it out into the exaggerated V-shape that I did with the powder.

For fair skin, I think this is a more flattering smokey eye.

It keeps the shadow so that it’s not harsh looking against the skin at the edges.
