Look of The Day | Simple Hair + Makeup

My look of the day:  I love simple, clean looking makeup for daytime.  When I sit down to write out the list of what I used, though, it’s mind blowing.  Simple ain’t so simple.  It takes a lot of makeup for the “natural” look.  Also about 20 minutes of bicep building hair straightening.

I have a few new products that I’ve been obsessed with lately,  I’ll do a whole other post on those, but one I’m loving is Kat Von D foundation.  I didn’t think I’d be a big fan of this line, but its consistently surprised me with the amazing pigmentation.  This foundation lasts all day.  I’ve had it on for 14 hours before and it’s stayed fresh looking.

MAKEUP USED:

Foundation: Kat Von D

Lashes:  Ardell #124

Mascara: Tarte “Lights, Camera, Action.”

Eyeliner:  Top – Physician’s Formula in Brown

Bottom – Stila “Stay All Day” liner

Contour:  Smashbox contour kit

Highlighter: Benefit “High Beam”

Concealer: IT Cosmetics

Eyeshadow: Stila “In The Light” Palette, used “Bare” all over, “Bliss” in the crease drawn as a fine line with a liner brush then blended, “Kitten’ in the inner corner and under the brow, and “” over the cat-eye eyeliner.  “Bliss” underneath the eyes.

Blush: Illamasqua Blush in Excite

Eyebrows: Benefit “Gimme Brow”

Lipstick: E.L.F. matte pencil in natural, followed with Baremineral Buxom lipgloss in “Dolly”

HAIR:

Living Proof “Perfect Hair Day”, with a dab of coconut oil on the ends
