I love when I find all natural makeup that is incredible. In years past, I think natural makeup and products got a bad reputation for not working as well as their lab engineered peers, but over the past few years there have been a few stand out brands that have proven that reputation wrong.
I try to use as many natural products as I can, but I can really get distracted by Shiny & New. So I love that this Juice Beauty lipstick not only impressed me from the start, but has also kept my attention. (In my lipstick bag, that is no small feat.)
Let’s start with…
The Packaging:
I love the soft pink cardboard lipstick tube. The cardboard is firm, so it doesn’t feel like it will crumble or squish in your hand. The light pink color has gotten dirty in my makeup bag, because I’m an animal and have waaay too much stuff in there. But I like that the packaging is helping the environment out too.
The lipstick rolls up fine, but when I roll it down it hits the edge of the tube slightly.
The Color:
“Purely Kissable” is supposed to be a universally flattering shade. I found it to be a beautiful shade of light pink. I’m pretty fair, and so sometimes lipstick that is too pink makes me look like I raided Barbie’s makeup stash, but this was a very flattering shade. It has a slight sheen, like a gloss, but a creme finish (no shimmer). The color looks natural on, but polished.
The Longevity:
This lipstick lasted me several hours and didn’t smear or travel off my lips at all. It does come off when you eat and drink, but other than that really lasts.
The Taste:
This lipstick has a light, almost berry like taste that is pleasant, and not overwhelming.
The cost:
$16. More expensive than drugstore brands, less expensive than the higher end lipsticks. If you purchase it at Ulta, they let you use their coupons on it. (Party Time.)
The Texture:
This lipstick is nice and light feeling on your lips. It’s smooth and creamy, lightly moisturizes, and overall feels great on.
The Bottom Line:
Love, love, love this lipstick. The color is easy to wear. It feels great on. It looks pretty in your hand. They never test on animals. It’s not filled with a bunch of weird junk. It actually works. I love this lipstick!
