Quick Tip #2 – 1 Girl, 1 Cup

Quick Tip: To make your hair really smooth and shiny, you have to do a final rinse with cold water after rinsing your conditioner out.  To avoid standing under a freezing cold stream of water, leave an inexpensive plastic cup in the shower. (Make sure it’s plastic, not glass, DumDum!) At the end of your shower fill the cup with cold water and dip the bottom of your hair in it. You’ll have smoother hair immediately, and in a few months you’ll notice a lot fewer split ends.  And you won’t freeze!

Cold water supposedly seals the cuticle, making it lay flat therefore it looks shiny. If you can stand it, they say washing in cold water is better for hair than hot water….. I can do it in the summer but not the winter!

Cold water is great for the hair! I leave a plastic cup in the shower and dip my ends in cold water right before I get out to seal my ends. It’s my favorite hair trick! 🙂
