Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 | My Clothing + Makeup Picks

It’s that time of the year!  The Nordstrom sale is here with some great deals.  If you have a Nordstrom card, you can shop now, everyone else can start shopping July 22.  I normally just look through the makeup deals, but this year I started looking through the clothes too and now I. Want. All. The Stuffs.

A lot of the clothing is geared towards Fall, but the deals are great (especially on the shoes).  So, in my opinion, it’s worth it to store things for a few months before you can wear them.

Makeup:

1. Armani Duo $85 ($126 value).  Two piece set includes the Sheer Glow illuminator (can be used all over as a primer or on cheekbones as a highlighter) and Primer with spf 60.  I want to try this primer super badly.  I have the Sheer Glow and it’s a very sophisticated and pretty highlight.

2.  Amore Pacific Time Zones $260 ($501) value.  This four piece set includes a cream, eye cream, hand cream, and overnight mask/cream.  It’s still an investment, but you are basically getting 50% off a very high end skincare line that never goes on sale.  I’ve used samples of these products and they WORK.  Collection includes:

– Line Revolution Firming Neck Crème (1.01 oz.): a rich, innovative neck cream that immediately tightens slackened skin and helps smooth out fine lines.

– Time Response Eye Renewal Crème (0.5 oz.): an intensive anti-aging creme that improves the appearance of darkness and puffiness around the delicate eye area.

– Time Response Intensive Hand Renewal Crème (1.01 oz.): a luxuriously textured, anti-aging hand creme that provides intensive renewal for your hands, leaving them with a soft, supple appearance.

– Time Response Overnight Treatment Masque (1.7 oz.): a powerful masque that treats skin while you sleep to help restore youth.

3.  BeautyBlender Beauty’s best Friend Set $35 ($56 value) This set includes 2 beauty blenders and a full size solid cleanser.  Awesome deal on must have beauty tools!

4.  Deborah Lippmann “Rich Girl” duo $35 ($56 value) Two full size tubes of this best selling hand cream, they normally retail for $28 each.  This set sold out last year within days and I am not going to let it get away from me again.  This was my first purchase from this year’s sale.  This hand cream is the nicest I’ve ever used.  It sinks in right away, has SPF, and makes the skin on my hands look bright.

5. Ahava Mineral Body Lotion Duo $48 ($104 value) Two giant sized 17 oz bottles of this amazing skin cream.  I just did {this} post on their other body cream, which I also loved.  It sinks in right away, is never greasy, and leaves skin looking super healthy and hydrated.  I have one in my makeup artist kit that is almost out, so I’d like to split up this set and kept one for myself and one in my kit.

Shoes:

1.  Vince “Preston” Slip On Shoes in Black Linen $129 ($195 after sale)  I’ve been wanting a pair of these forever.  They are supposed to be incredibly comfortable.  I love the texture of this black linen pair.

2.  Vince Camuto “Peera” Cutout Bootie $99 ($149 after sale)  3 shades available  These are SO cute.  Every color is so wearable.  I need a black pair for work and these are a great price.  The beige would be so cute with summer dresses.

3.  Halogen “Nobel: Over The Knee Boots $109.90 ($189.95 after sale)  I love the look of these.  The price is also great for an over-the-knee boot.  But I just love the streamlined, classic look of these boots.

4.  Corso Como “Laura” Over The Knee Flat Boots $149.90 ($247.95 after sale) These are the best knock-off versions I’ve seen of the Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots that I’ve wanted forever and ever.

Workout Clothing:

1.  Adidas Logo Legging $25.90 ($35 after sale)  Not a crazy deal, but a super cute pair of pants and the best price I’ve seen on the internets so far.  I love the classic Adidas clothes.

2.  Adidas Originals Relaxed Fit Trefoil Tank $21.90 ($30 after sale)  Again, not a crazy deal, but these styles rarely go on sale so I’ll take what I can get.  I love these loose logo tanks for a workout or with cut offs for a day at the beach.

3.  Beyond Yoga High Waist Leggings $64.90 ($97 after sale)  I could not have been more excited to see these leggings in the sale.  Beyond Yoga is my favorite workout brand AND this style from them is my all-time favorite.  The high rise keeps your covered while you work out and the salt-and-pepper fabric is the softest thing you’ll ever feel.  They are a splurge for sure, but if you work out regularly, they are a great investment, I wear mine constantly and they are the most comfortable pants I own, hands down.  I’ve been wearing one pair for over a year and they still look new.  You can wash and dry them, which pleases me more than it should.

Clothing/Bags/Jewelry:

1.  Louise et Cie “Jael” Bag $169.90 ($258 after sale) I LOVE the gold hardware on this chic black purse.  This is one of those bags I feel like you could use forever and ever and it would always be cool.  The size looks great for day and night.

2.  Lana Jewelry “Flat Magic” Hoop Earrings in Rose Gold $249 ($395 after sale) Truthfully, these are out of my budget right now.  Which crushes my little heart because these earrings caught my eye right from first glance in the early access catalog.  I love the clean flat shape of the hoop and the gorgeous rose gold color. Perfect for redheads!  The size of the hook looks perfect and classy.  Love, love, love these earrings!  These might be my favorite item from the sale.

3.  Electric “Riot” 60mm Round Sunglasses in Honey $66.90 ($100 after sale)  I’ve never seen a color like this before for sunglasses.  It’s stunning and perfect against strawberry blonde hair!!  The round shape is also very flattering on most faces.  I really love these.

4.  Treasure & Bond Washed Leather Belt $29.90 ($54 after sale) Perfect to cinch in the waist of a maxi dress.  Love the simple style and circle buckle.

5.  KUT from the Kloth Slim Boyfriend Jeans $49.90 ($89.50 after sale) Slim Boyfriend jeans are my favorite style.  They are slim and make your legs look long, but also aren’t skin tight (also slimming).  I feel like they are a very flattering style.  I normally wear the 7 for all mankind Josefina style, but this pair from KUT look great.  I’m intrigued, because that is a great price for denim.

6.  Halogen Colorblock Mock Neck Sheath Dress $79.90 ($128 after sale) This dress is so chic!  It makes me wish that I worked in a fancy office and could wear it to work and then out for drinks after (typing fantasy from my couch).

7.  Billabong “Once Again” Cotton Plaid Cardigan $35.90 ($54.95 after sale) This looks SO comfortable and perfect for end of summer/early fall to bring in your purse and throw on when it gets chilly.  Also, I love mauve for redheads.

8.  Splurge: Vince Jumbo Cashmere Hoodie $183.90 ($275 after sale)  Vince (and Theory) cashmere sweaters are my weakness.  I’ve been lucky enough to score a few on major sale and they immediately became closet staples for me.  The fit and quality is incredible.  The Heather Grey version of the sweater is one of the most luxe looking pieces I’ve ever seen.  I’d wear it with these light wash skinny jeans and these taupe suede booties.

9.  Topshop Jaime Jeans $46.90 ($70 after sale) Is this just me, or do these look like the perfect pair of jeans?  I love the wash and the high rise.  Also, bonus points for letting you pick out your inseam.  The sizes are selling out fast, which makes me think people love the fit of these jeans.
