My TOP TEN Make Up Products of all time.

Epic title, I know.  There is nothing that makes my heart beat faster than a beauty products contest, or a magazine’s compilation of their favorite products.  Here are mine.

I’ll have a list of the top ten make up products on a budget as my next post.  I’m already excited to compile it.  Can we be honest?  I don’t even want to go to work tomorrow.  I  just want to go in-depth about the heavenly texture of cream blush.

This is my ultimate “these-products-have-changed-my-life” list.  My pulse is already quickening.

1.  Tinted Moisturizer: Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer.

I use this most days because I don’t like to wear liquid foundation every day.  I actually have drier skin, but I get the oil-free version of Laura Mercier’s infamous moisturizer because it has more pigment than the regular one.  It’s expensive (around $40), but trust lil’ old me and about a billion beauty editors who are obsessed with this product, it’s worth it.  It really gives your skin an incredible glow, like a sheer foundation.

2.  Mascara: Lancome Definicils.

This is the gold standard of mascaras.  It makes your lashes so long and so defined.  But they also look so fluttery.  It lasts all day and, just like a good boyfriend, it never even thinks of straying.  I wear the blackest black, it’s amazing.  Sometimes if I know I have a lot of events coming up, I’ll get in in navy.  The blueish tint is barely noticeable, but it counteracts any redness in your eyes, making you look very bright eyed.

3.  Highlighter:  Stila Tinted Moisturizer in shade 1.

This is technically a full face moisturizer, but I use it to highlight the tops of my cheekbones, the tops of my cheeks, and my brow bone and inner eye.  I have really dry skin, so anything that adds moisture I. am. all. about.  This is also really subtle, no one can tell that you have highlighter on, it makes your skin look really young and it really pops in pictures.

4.  Concealer:  Laura Mercier concealer, the round pot.

This concealer covers everything.  The coverage is amazing, you really only need one tiny little dot and it spreads beautifully.  It looks light and fresh, but you don’t see any dark circles.  What more could you ask for?  It’s amazing!

5.  Foundation:  Cargo Liquid Foundation.

Girl, when I need to get my glamour fully on, this is the foundation I love.  A friend turned me on to it and I’ve been hooked ever since.  She had breakouts and it covered her face so smoothly.  I don’t have breakouts, but I do have really sensitive skin, and this doesn’t irritate my skin, even if I have it on from morning until night.  Beautiful shades and the packaging is earth-friendly.  This foundation truly makes your skin look flawless and luminous without sheen.

6.  Blush:  Laura Mercier Cream Blush.

I swear, I not being paid by Laura Mercier.  I do think though, that her face products really do create the best natural-but-better looking skin.  The cream blush looks natural, but doesn’t disappear as a lot of cream blushes do.  It lasts all night and the color stays true.

For Powder blushes, I like Bobbi Brown and Bare Minerals.  Bobbi Brown blended as easily as a cream blush.  Bare Minerals also blends really easily and stays on.

7.  Eyeliner:  Physician’s Formula Lash Boosting 2-1 Serum and Eyeliner.

This stuff is amazing.  It’s an eyeliner that makes your lashes grow longer.  And it works.  My favorite thing about it, though, is that is gives the precision of a liquid liner.  In fact, I think it’s more precise.  It gives the best clean, thin line.  It’s really amazing and the formula feels very high-end.  It lasts all day and in about 2 to 3 weeks you can see that your lashes have grown.  I bought it in every color.

8.  Eyeshadow:  Lancome.

Their powder eyeshadow stays on and is so rich and nicely pigmented.  It lasts all day and doesn’t crease.  I like their quads compacts where they match they shades for you.  I especially like their purple shades.  Purple can be harder to wear if you don’t want to look like you’re working the 7 a.m. shift in Barstow, but Lancome shadows are so creamy they blend together perfectly and somehow look natural.

9.  Eyebrows:  Billion Dollar Brow’s Universal Brow Pencil.

I don’t know how they did it, but this brow pencil is universal.  It also has the best formula I’ve ever used on my brows.  It gives the appearance of fullness, without a pencil stroke to be seen.  This pencil really makes a huge difference.  Also, it has a blender brush on the other side, to really make it blend beautifully.

10.  Eye Brightener:  Benefit Cosmetics High Brow Defining Pencil.

This goes under your eyebrows and defines your arches.  It makes you look so wide awake—sometimes even when I don’t feel like wearing makeup I dab some of this under my eyebrows to look alive.  When I do wear it with makeup, I put it on last and bleeeend.  People always ask how I did my eye makeup when I’m wearing it.  Also, I dab a little on the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them even more.  One pencil will last you forever.
